day 18 Home Sweet Home...?

December 10, 2012 - home

Well... hope you found this adventure of ours interesting.  Yes, not the same as - wish you were here sentiments.  The learning continues.  The reading; before, during and after the trip gives me great pleasure and satisfaction. No, not just to tell you about where we went and what we saw, ate and did.  My hope is that you too will have your own adventures, even if only reading about them.  Planning your own dreams  (-:

We left with great expectations of both the Galápagos Islands and Machu Picchu.  We were not disappointed.  Wished though we would have had the type tourist headsets we used on Amalfi Coast trip.  No matter how well you try to hear the guides, so much is missed because of backgrounds sounds.

Yes, we saw much, but did not hear all we had a chance to know was being directed to us.

Now that we have been back for a few weeks, gives a chance to have some thoughts about it all.  Expectations to see - great.  Food - wonderful.  Photo opportunities - was able to capture over 14,000.  Would we go back?  Definitely  (-:
